Today begins the Year of the Rat.
Carmen made a Dragon.
Anna made a red kite (also in honor of "K" week).
This post is especially for Carlos and Jenn. The book we read today takes place in New York's Chinatown and Carmen was wistfully remembering the delicious dumplings. And I seriously need Jenn's help to figure out how to pronounce this correctly.We are having brownies for dessert to celebrate. Very NOT traditional, but after a long day that box in the pantry was a fancy as I could manage. I think technically there are 15 days of celebration so maybe I can still sneak in a more traditional treat during the Lantern Festival.
