When You're the Mama...

at the amusement park, you will wait patiently in line to ride the log flume, asking the 5 year old repeatedly if she's sure she wants to ride. She will answer yes repeatedly. And then, when you finally get your turn, you will actually sit in the boat for 2 seconds and then climb right back out because the 5 year old has suddenly changed her mind and is quite loudly making sure everyone knows she is a about to have a nervous breakdown.

You will feel sad that your 6 year old is afraid to ride almost everything and worry that she is not having fun.

You will accept that peanut butter and cheese crackers and huge ice cream cones are a nutritious dinner.

You will also try very hard (and sadly fail) NOT to laugh when the 3 and half year old begins shrieking like she is being murdered once the teeny tiny roller coaster she has convinced you to ride with her starts and she suddenly realized it goes fast. She will be mad at you.

You will ride only 3 roller coasters and realize that this is quite enough...probably for the next 10 years.

You will want to sleep in the next morning, mainly because when you get up to nurse the baby you find it very hard to move at all. However, her three sisters will insist on having breakfast before 8 am.

You will be very thankful that your children had a great time with their cousins and grandparents and that no one threw up.
