There Really is a Baby in There...

To explain somewhat the title of the blog...

I am expecting my 7th child. I will be 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Today was my first appointment with my beloved midwives. I can't say enough about their magnificent care.
I hoped very much to hear a heartbeat today, but didn't think it likely since it is rather early to hear it on doppler. (Being midwives advocating for few medical interventions, they don't go for early ultrasounds.) But lo an behold, she searched around on my little pooch belly, baby cooperated and came forward and voila'!
It is the most wonderful feeling to hear that rapid swishing and know without a doubt that my baby is in there. I can't stop smiling...
