That Lady with All the Kids

That's what I've heard people say at the pool. Its okay.

In fact, the other day, as I sat with Johnny on the steps leading into the shallow end, and Aggie flitted around me, splashing, suddenly, all my kids were down in the shallow end, playing together. I sat there for a moment, taking it all in. Every one of my children, nearly within arms reach, laughing, playing, enjoying the water and each other's company. Perfect.

As my children grow older, I know these moments will be harder to come by. So for now, this summer, I am quite content to be the lady with all the kids, together.
