What is This?

This dear readers is homeschooling at its um, best?

These are approximately 30 planaria that arrived via UPS at our home yesterday afternoon. Yes, we probably could have found some at the pond. But then we wouldn't have the thrill of having them arrive via UPS. And getting 3o. And we would not have had the sadness over the first set that arrived via UPS, dead. Some sort of shipping mishap that made all the water leak out of their little jar. Yes, 30 dessicated planaria.

And now I am off to cook a hard-boiled egg for the little creatures. Egg yolk or beef liver are the feeding options. Yeah, not a difficult choice. Of course, I am not certain I should feed them, it may be "mating" season and feeding them might cause them to reproduce....more than 30 planaria? Hmmm. Some will be chopped in half to watch them regenerate...60 planaria?

Anyone want some planaria? They ship well...

Could you really send me some planaria? That would be SOO great! I tried and experiment before with them and they didn't do so well. I would REALLY appreciate is you could send me some. I know all about their care; you have to only keep them in river or pond water, you can only feed them egg yolk and liver. Just let me know if you would be willing to send me some when they grow and you grown new ones, I don't care if it takes a while. I know that the black ones take about a month to re-grow when you cut them so it may be a while. Just e-mail me back or leave a comment letting me know. Thank you SO much!
