You're a teenager! I can hardly believe it. And I hardly know how to write about you dear girl. You taught me how to be a mother to babies. Now you will teach me how to mother a young adult. I hope I can keep up.
I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. You are very patient with your mother.
Time after time you hold the baby or take a little one to the bathroom. So mature and responsible. And then I find you playing legos with your brother or zoo with the little girls. You may be 13 now, but I know there is part of you that longs to stay a little girl. I hope I can learn to give you the space for just a few more years to enjoy this time in between.
I marvel at this tall young lady, nearly taller than me, and wonder what I did to deserve such a beautiful loving person in my life. God is so good.
