Nature vs. Surgery

NIH recently held a conference on elective cesarean sections and what wonderful outcomes they have. If you skim through the abstracts (which I did) you get the impression that it is just as safe to choose to have your child surgically removed as it is to give birth vaginally!!!!! The whole state of modern American obstetrics makes me so angry and I can hardly write coherently. Thankfully, Alicia the midwife does a great job.
